"Although I have been through all that I have, I do not regret the many hardships I met, because it was they who brought me to the place I wished to reach. Now all I have is this sword and I give it to whomever wishes to continue his pilgrimage. I carry with me the marks and scars of battles - they are the witnesses of what I suffered and the rewards of what I conquered." - John Bunyan

The Equilibrium
Do we make things happen or do things happen to us?
There was a time when I believed in making things happen and there have also been times when I felt that actually I didn't do anything....things happened to me, for the better or for the worse. What's the truth then ? It looks like both I and things happen to each other mutually ; as if we are in some sort of equilibrium. Whenever things happen to me, I must happen back to things in a way that restores the equilibrium. Is this the eventual explanation of the eternal tug of war between one's situation and one's free will, the never ending argument of determinism vs possibilism...? Think about it...
